Thank you for visiting our website and taking the time to better understand who we are and what we do. Copper Country Mental Health is organized under the Michigan Mental Health Code as a Mental Health Authority, defined as a public governmental entity separate from the counties that established it. The Board that governs us was formed in 1963 and consists of 12 people.
Our mission is to ensure that appropriate, cost-efficient, and quality behavioral health services are accessible to eligible persons in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon counties. Copper Country Mental Health Services provides an array of services intended to increase independence, improve quality of life, and support community integration and inclusion of the persons served.
